Fujitsu offers a range of energy efficient, allergy friendly, quiet options to suit diverse environments and spaces. Based on a thorough list of criteria they are rated 4.5 out of 5 overall.

Commencing as a small family business in 1984, ActronAir remains an Australian company who apply their local knowledge in engineering world-class air conditioners to meet the extremes of the Australian environment. ActronAir’s engineers take these extremes into account when developing their units and have been given an overall score of 3.5 out of 5.

Fujitsu’s residential range offers a wide variety of energy efficient options to cover different kinds of environments and spaces. This includes split systems that can offer utility savings and ducted systems to deliver individual comfort to the whole home.

ActronAir’s home systems can be tailored to suit lifestyle and home, whether it be a small apartment or a large, multiple storey house. Design advantages include flexible maintenance, a wide operating range, with outdoor units designed for vertical release, comfort and reliability.

Split Systems

Fujitsu 4 different types of split system include; Classic Series, Designer Series, Lifestyle Series (Cooling only) and Lifestyle Series (Heating and Cooling). These units are designed to efficiently heat or cool or a single room. They feature a number of energy efficient solutions, with up to 30% more efficiency than conventional fixed speed units. Fujitsu’s units suit various spaces with differing capacity requirements. They are allergy friendly, using static electricity to remove pollutants from the air.

ActronAir’s Serene Wall Hung Split Systems are generally cheaper than a ducted system and ideal for single rooms, or smaller open areas. They can be energy efficient, with the 2.65kW model being awarded a 7 star energy rating out of 7 stars. All models are fitted with an R32 refrigerant. This offers low global warming potential, reducing your air conditioning’s impact on the environment.

Fujitsu and ActronAir’s ranges were both rated at 4 out of 5 by our reviewers. These scores indicate that both brands are good options to consider while you are looking for an air conditioning unit to fit your specifications.

Ducted Systems

Fujitsu’s Cassette Range units are available in high and low capacities, with energy consumption that can be controlled without loss of comfort. The units fit under the ceiling with only the grille showing. These cassettes are designed to deliver comfort through even temperature distribution and wide airflow. A removable grille and louvres that can be wiped down make cleaning easy.

ActronAir’s range offers a very high-capacity option of 23.59 kW. Some indoor units have a height of 249 mm, allowing them to be installed in tight spaces such as apartment buildings and homes with limited wall space. The series has a number of options including; the Add On Series 2, Classic Series 2, Ultra Slim Low Profile, ESP Plus Series 2, and ESP Platinum Que.

Multi-Systems

Fujitsu’s Inverter Multi and Multi System Series, which were rated 4 out 5 by our review team. These can be matched to a range of indoor units, with enough options to help find the best air conditioner for your space. Fujitsu’s multi systems have energy saving settings, cutting down on electricity.

ActronAir’s MultiElite Multi Split System received a rating of 3.5 out 5 and allow for individualised comfort, delivering different temperatures in different rooms at the same time.

Like Fujitsu, ActronAir’s multi-systems can be matched with a range of indoor unit formats including ducted, wall hung and mini-cassette.

Controllers

Fujitsu’s new General Lifestyle units now have a built-in wireless LAN interface. This allows users to control comfort of their home or office remotely.

ActronAir’s range of smart controllers and apps include the Actron Connect, Easy Connect and Que. A master timer delivers a simpler scheduling function to help save energy; it can be programmed to switch off say when everyone leaves for work or study. These controllers offer user friendly features including colour coding, which makes things easier to identify for users who may not be tech savvy. Ceiling/Floor Console Range

Fujitsu’s Ceiling/Floor Console Range is designed to discretely fit into homes that may not have wall space for multi and split systems. The floor consoles provide easy access and can thereby cut down on maintenance for technicians. Quiet and energy efficient, Fujitsu offers a capacity range of 2.6kW to 14.0 kW, to match diverse Australian weather patterns.

Fujitsu’s Consoles are slim and lightweight, making them easy to install. Overall, our review team rated Fujitsu’s Ceiling/Floor Console Range a 4 out of 5.

Fujitsu has developed commercial products that can be used in diverse environments including hotels, apartment blocks, schools and shopping centres. Fujitsu offer a support network to help clients select the right combination of systems to meet their requirements, space and budget. ActronAir offers a moderately sized range for commercial use. They are designed in Australia to meet our extreme and harsh weather conditions. Even when exposed on a rooftop these units have protections in place to help them resist corrosion, frost etc.

Air Stage VRF Systems

Fujitsu offer high capacity Air Stage VRF Systems options in the J-III Series, J-IIS Series, V-II Series and VR-II Series ranges. The company have been developing these energy efficient systems, utilising state of the art technology, for more than 35 years, to deliver products that provide the most comfortable environment possible. This range covers a diverse range of applications and was rated a 4 out of 5 by our review team.

ActronAir’s split ducted series has BMS compatibility, energy efficiency, precise but flexible controls and a wide capacity range. Units in the range include Variable Capacity 29kW - 33kW, Commercial Ducted 25kW - 41kW and Tri-Capacity 47kW - 73kW. They are built to be reliable, even under extreme conditions. Less temperature swings reduce wear and tear, particularly due to compressors cycling on and off. This helps maintains temperatures to within +/- 0.3°C at the sensor location. Smart fans and control upgrades make these units a cost-effective option for light commercial applications.

Fujitsu has a slight advantage on price in this series and their catechin filters are remarkable in providing both clean air and comfort. Overall, the review team rated Fujitsu's range at 4 out of 5, with ActronAir receiving 3.5 out of 5.

Cassette Systems

Fujitsu’s Cassette Range is discrete, with a weekly timer, sleep timer and economy mode to help maintain control of energy consumption without losing of comfort. The cassettes are easy to clean, with a removable grille and louvres that can be wiped down. Fujitsu’s do come at a higher cost but their energy saving features may even their pricing out.

ActronAir’s Cascade Cassette 7.10kW - 13.75kW system is a twin system, allowing users to connect two smaller indoor units to an outdoor unit. The indoor units are engineered to deliver 360o airflow from four sides and four corners. This allows air to be projected to the corners of the room. ActronAir’s ceiling cassettes feature an easy to access on/off switch, in case the external controller has been misplaced or isn’t working.

Overall, Fujitsu’s range was rated 4 out of 5, with ActronAir receiving a rating of 3.0 out of 5.

Multi Systems

Fujitsu’s multi systems can be connected to a compact outdoor unit, running up to six indoor units simultaneously. The Inverter Multi and Multi System Series offer combinations to suit almost any need in commercial spaces, with 14 models ranging in capacity from 2.3kW to 6.8kW. Fujitsu’s multi systems were rated 4 out of 5.

Ceiling/Floor Console Range

Designed for homes without the wall space for multi and split systems, Fujitsu’s Ceiling/floor console range can be installed on the floor or under the ceiling, with the floor consoles providing easy access for the user.

Fujitsu offer a wide capacity range, from 2.6kW to 14.0kW. This can match differing Australian climate extremes. Designed for quiet and energy efficient operation, Fujitsu’s Ceiling/floor console range was rated 3.5 out of 5 by our reviewers.
