Established in 1958, LG Electronics released Korea’s first residential air conditioner in 1968 and began making chillers for commercial ventures in 1970. Since then LG has developed a broad portfolio of products to handle most projects from Residential to Office Buildings, Hotels and Retail outlets.
Providing a specialist Air Solution Business Unit, LG aim to deliver the best total Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning package for different projects. LG’s inverter technology has a reputation for being advanced, saving up to 70% in energy.
LG offer an impressive selection of both residential and commercial solutions. They may not be the cheapest on offer, but like other brands their intelligent and energy saving features more than make up for this.
LG’s numerous options suit homes and commercial buildings of differing sizes and needs.
LG’s residential range offers energy efficiency, compact design and innovations such as smart controllers. They can be controlled remotely or by intelligent, easy to operate remotes.
LG’s ceiling and wall mounted air conditioning range spans a capacity of 2.6 kW up to 20 kW, providing comfort for both small and large homes.
The Smart and High Efficiency split system series are easy to clean with optional voice control. They offer innovative features such as Active Energy Control, which adjusts energy levels to improve cooling while reducing power consumption and a Smart Diagnosis function to analyse any issues.
Allergy and asthma friendly, some units feature an ioniser that can filtrate the indoor air and inside the unit itself, decreasing the growth of mould and bacteria. For comfort louvers can be pre-set and operation is designed to be quiet.
Offering Home Connectivity and Zone Control, LG controllers allows users to manage and automate the performance of up to 8 air conditioning zones. These systems have a Slim Ducted Series and High Static Series, with the High Static series covering large spaces that require up to 20 kW of power.
These ducts are slim and can be installed in limited spaces such as apartment buildings. Some indoor units in this range have an integrated safety tray. This can help prevent damage caused by blocked drains or accidental leakage. Energy saving features include Peak Current Technology, which limits the maximum running current to avoid the system running on the peak level.
Offering Flexible Installation, LG’s Multi Split range has an Indoor and Outdoor series with a range of options. Troubleshooting is aided by a monitor view. This provides information so users can check the error status.
For comfort, load control maintains refrigerant temperature according to outside temperature, delivering comfort, while saving operation energy. Multiple piping lengths allow for easy installation, extending the amount of spaces where the outdoor units can be placed.
Utilising innovative technology, LG offers commercial solutions covering retail spaces and those that require very specific temperature control such as libraries and art galleries. Their Variable Refrigerant Volume range can usually be expanded as needed.
LG offers commercial control solutions for both individual and group controllers, with optional remote control. High capacities make these units ideal for large scale commercial spaces including universities, high rise offices and even airports.
With a significantly decreased weight, these units allow for more flexible installation, with expansion capabilities. Direct oil return reduces energy losses, making the units more efficient. The range includes Multi V 5, Multi V IV, Multi V S and Multi V Water IV systems.
Smart sensors deliver delayed defrosting, partial defrosting and smart oil management. These provide improved continuous heating technology of up to 11%. The Ocean Black Fin Exchanger is designed to perform under stressful, corrosive environments; ideal for the harsh Australian climate.

With a new and improved skew fan increasing the amount of airflow, LG’s single split system range features reduced noise with ducted units at a reduced height of 270 mm, allowing for installation in spaces where space is at a minimum. They come in three formats; Ceiling Mounted Cassette, Ceiling Concealed Duct and Wall Mounted Units.
Efficiency features include Two Thermistors that counter possible differences between ceiling and floor air temperature, and a spiral embedded or flexible duct and stream chamber allow for the cooling / heating for several rooms simultaneously.
Both ducted and wall mounted units offer Quiet Operation, allowing for less interruption to quiet spaces.
This unit offers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water heating, reusing wasted heat from indoor units. They can also heat floors and provide cooling, with the compact and easy to install kit connecting to multiple heat pumps.
If outside space is lacking, for example in an apartment, some units can be placed inside. This system uses less energy than a boiler to heat water and floors.
|Hot Water Solution – Hydro Kit||14.1 kW, 22.4 kW, 28.0 kW||From $10,000|
Compatible with a range of indoor systems, the ERV solution can be interlocked with air conditioners and controlled individually. Allergy friendly and featuring an antivirus coating, this system can remove harmful substances, including micro dust and viruses through 3 air purifying steps.
Compared to natural ventilation this system saves a maximum of 39% in energy consumption, making it cost-efficient. To maintain comfort this system can sense the temperature outside and automatically change modes based on this.
|Ventilation Solution ERV – ERV||4.5 kW, 7.1 kW, 9.0 kW||From $1827|
The Multi V – Air Handling Unit Connection system can provide heating and free cooling operations for energy reduction via air control during all seasons. Conveniently, a Temperature Sensor can choose to match the supply air or return air via a temperature sensor via multiple control options.
Designed For The Diverse Australian Climate, the Multi V - AHU Connection can be integrated with other HVAC systems & 3rd party controllers, working in all types of climate.
|AHU Solution For Multi V – Multi V – AHU Connection||N/A||From $180|
These solutions feature; an Individual Controller, Central Controller, BMS Gateway and Application Controller, providing flexible options for most projects. On some models these controllers and interfaces allow users to check indoor air quality without the need for a separate application.
Users can check status updates, power consumption and temperature, generate reports, monitor humidity and air cleanliness information. Tools also include scheduling and environmental management. An easy to use interface helps manage large numbers of units, with optional building floor plan display.
