Carrier have designed residential systems to heat and cool your home with a minimum of noise and energy use. Carrier offers single split systems and ducted systems. Both offer effective complete house heating and cooling, utilising inverter technology.

Split Systems

With up to 30% more efficiency than conventional fixed speed units, Fujitsu’s split systems can efficiently cool or heat a room. The range includes; a Classic Series, Designer Series, Lifestyle Series (cooling only) and Lifestyle Series (heating and cooling). These feature a number of energy efficient solutions, making utility bills more affordable. Fujitsu’s range is diverse, with a unit to suit most differing spaces with differing capacity requirements.

Carrier has 3 units in their split system range; the Inverter Hi-Wall Split System – Aura Ultimate, Pearl Inverter Split System Air Conditioner A 2 and K Series Inverter Cool Only System - R410A. These offer intelligent, environmentally friendly features.

Dust particles and common household odours are filtered and a mould reducing, self-cleaning mode removes moisture from Carrier’s indoor units. These units also have sensors built into the remote controller to regulate room temperature based on the conditions around the remote.

Overall, we rated Fujitsu’s split system range at 4 out of 5, with Carrier’s range rated at 3.5 out of 5.

Multi-Systems

Rated 4 out 5, Fujitsu’s multi systems include; Inverter Multi and Multi System Series range. These can be matched to an extensive selection of indoor units, giving options to fit the space. Fujitsu’s multi-systems have energy saving settings, reducing expenditure on utilities. Individual rooms can also be controlled separately; meaning those not in use can have their units off rather than wasting energy.

Ducted Systems

Fujitsu’s Cassette Range is built to be discreet; fitting under the ceiling with only the grille and any controllers showing. They are available in high and low capacities, designed to deliver even temperature distribution and wide airflow. Energy consumption can be curbed without loss of comfort using settings such as a weekly timer, sleep timer and economy mode. These units have a removable grille and louvres, making cleaning easy.

Carrier offers a smaller selection, with two ducted the High Static Ducted - SHDV Series and Slimline Ducted - SHDS Series. These offer comfort on an expandable network with a single-phase source, allowing for easier, cost-effective installation. Fresh air is drawn in by the outdoor unit rather than recycling existing, stale air. These units can be combined to provide a building solution.

Our team rated Fujitsu and Carrier ranges rated at 3.5 out of 5. Each brand delivers great solutions, particularly for limited spaces.

Ceiling/Floor Console Range

Fujitsu’s Ceiling/Floor Console Range is designed to fit discretely anywhere without the wall space for multi and split systems. Carrier’s residential controllers are user friendly, with visual clues and simple instructions. The range includes the KJR-120A wired controller, Carrier Wi-Fi controller and the KJR-12B.
Carrier’s unit controllers can protect from waste using a temperature lock, to avoid the unit being turned too far up or down. A small range, most of Carrier’s controllers are nonetheless compatible with different units. Large buttons on some controllers make them more accessible for those who have sight impairment. These and a number of other features offering precise control have contributed to Carrier being awarded a score of 4 out of 5 for their residential controllers.
