Rated 3.5 out of 5 by our review team, Haier Group was founded in China in 1984 and began working in Australia in 2015. As well as air conditioners they produce fridges and washing machines, with the aim to provide sustainable, affordable and innovation home solutions to improve everyday life. Haier employ testing that mimics Australia’s harsh environment conditions in order to design units that can deliver under demanding conditions.

Fujitsu’s residential range is wide, offering cost-effective split systems and ducted systems to deliver individually zoned comfort and energy efficient solutions.

Haier’s residential range of air conditioning units including split, multi and ducted systems to suit different types of homes. A self-cleaning function is featured in most of the range, delivering fresh air and removing the chances of mould building up. Other intelligent features include an app, sleep mode and sensors.

Split Systems

Allergy friendly, Fujitsu’s split system range includes 4 types of unit; Classic Series, Designer Series, Lifestyle Series (Cooling only) and Lifestyle Series (Heating and Cooling). Designed for efficiency, Fujitsu’s units suit spaces with differing capacity requirements.

Haier’s split system range includes the Dawn Series, Flexis Series, Tundra Series and the Premier Series. Their capacity is limited, going up to 8 kW, making these units appropriate for small to medium rooms. These units are built to last, with a blue aluminium fin that has an anti-corrosion coating. This blue fin technology further enhances heat exchanging efficiency by 40%.

Ducted Systems

Fujitsu’s Cassette Range are available in high and low capacities, designed to deliver precise consumption control without compromising on comfort. These cassettes are engineered for even temperature distribution and wide airflow. Easy to maintain, the removable grille and louvres can be wiped down by users, making cleaning easy.

Haier’s ducted range has a number of energy saving solutions and can provide a full home heating & cooling solution. They offer a high capacity range up to 24 kW, with 3 phase power options to suit both small and large homes. Their range includes; High static, Low profile, Cassette Round way, Cassette, Smart power outdoor 3-phase and Smart power outdoor 1-phase. Haier’s inbuilt DC motors are easily adjustable, delivering better airflow / static pressure. A timer can program the system to come off and on over a 24 hour period, reducing waste and ensuring comfort at peak times.

Ducted units fit under the ceiling with only the grille showing, blending in with most décor. For the above options our review team rated Fujitsu’s and Haier’s ranges at 3.5 out of 5

Multi Systems

Fujitsu’s Inverter Multi and Multi System Series, rated well, receiving 4 out 5 by our review team. These units can be matched to a range of indoor units and offer energy saving settings, cutting down on electricity consumption, helping to curb utility bills.

Rated 3 out of 5 by our review team, Haier offer a number of multi system solutions including a High wall, Ducted medium static, Ducted slim low static, Console and Multi head outdoor unit. The range has the advantage of flexible installation, as units can be installed on the wall, in the ceiling or on the floor. With 1,000 possible indoor combinations, a maximum of 5 indoor units can be attached to the outdoor multi head unit, providing air conditioned comfort to suit different rooms.

The compact design of Haier’s outdoor unit allows it to fit where outdoor spaces are limited, such as apartment blocks. A program has been designed to check that wiring & piping have been installed correctly. This takes just 10 minutes to run for every indoor unit, ensuring their systems are ready to go.

Fujitsu’s commercial products can be used in a range of commercial applications including hotels, apartment blocks, schools and shopping centres. The brand offers a support network to assist clients in selecting the most appropriate combination of commercial systems to meet their needs, space and budget. As well as units in their residential range Haier offer chiller and MRV solutions specifically engineered for commercial spaces. This commercial range is of a reasonable size once the residential options are considered. They can cover commercial applications including hotels, retail spaces, apartment buildings and offices.

Chiller

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by our review team, Haier’s Air Cooled Modular Chillers are highly efficient. They come in two capacities; 65 and 130 kW but can be expanded as a system. An electronic controller enables both centralised and independent control with high anti-interference capability, with the capacity to control the unit from as far away as 1000 meters. This is useful in spaces such as shopping centres and apartment blocks.

Haier’s chillers are designed to be part of a system delivering low noise and high efficiency levels, with convenient installation and maintenance. These units are ideal for use in factories, hotels, industrial cooling, office buildings and high-end residences.

VRF Systems

Fujitsu’s offer high capacity, energy efficient Air Stage VRF Systems, which they have been developing for more than 35 years. Using state of the art technology they have produced the J-III Series, J-IIS Series, V-II Series and VR-II Series ranges.

Fujitsu aim to deliver products that provide the most comfortable environment possible. To this end their Air Stage VRF Systems range covers a diverse range of applications, receiving a rating of 4 out of 5 from our review team.

MRV Systems

Covering the Cassette round way, Cassette, IV-C and S Mini systems Haier’s MRV range features a screen test panel that can be accessed during installation. This makes it easier to see if any mistakes have occurred, allowing them to be rectified quickly.

With a 3.5 out of 5 rating overall, these units are designed with a larger heat exchanger to deliver a higher level of efficiency. Dampness is reduced via an evaporating function that reduces mould flourishing inside the unit, resulting in cleaner and healthier air. Multiple units can be attached to these systems where appropriate.
