Our highest rated air conditioning brand, Fujitsu offers a range of energy efficient options to deliver comfort in different kinds of environments and spaces. Many of their units come equipped with an inbuilt Human Sensor, to adjust air conditioning according to the activity in the room.

One of the largest electronics manufacturers, LG offer allergy friendly filters and an energy control to minimise power consumption. LG’s products generally have a higher price tag, but also offer intelligent and environmentally friendly features, including apps to control energy consumption and expenditure.

Both Fujitsu and LG received a score of 4.5 out of 5 overall. Both brands offer some great choices for customers that can curb utility expenditure through intelligent controls.

Fujitsu offer a wide array of options to cover different kinds of environments and spaces. They have installed a Human Sensor in their units to detect motion and reduce waste.

LG have an app that helps deliver convenience and comfort. You can monitor and adjust usage remotely or schedule air conditioning behaviour and return home to a comfortable environment. LG offer a wide range of systems, from ducted to multi-split. LG’s residential units come in a wide range of capacities and formats; covering both large and small homes. Their controllers can generally be integrated as part of a smart home system.

Split Systems

Fujitsu’s units efficiently cool or heat a single room. They feature a number of energy efficient solutions, making utility bills more affordable, with up to 30% more efficiency than conventional fixed speed units. Fujitsu’s units suit various spaces with differing capacity needs. They are allergy friendly, harnessing static electricity to remove pollutants from the air.

LG have a smaller split system range of with 2 different types - the Smart Series and High Efficiency series. These are easy to clean and have optional voice control. Some units in these range offer an ioniser that can treats the air and insides of the unit, decreasing the growth of mould and bacteria, thus providing cleaner air. LG offer innovative energy saving features such as Active Energy Control, and a Smart Diagnosis function to analyse any issues. Some units can also be linked up to voice control.

Overall, we rated Fujitsu’s range at 4 out of 5, with LG receiving a rating of 3 out 5.

Ducted Systems

Fujitsu’s have designed Cassette Range units with high to low capacities. These are built to fit neatly under the ceiling with only the grille showing. The cassettes are designed to deliver even temperature distribution and wide airflow. Without loss of comfort energy consumption can be controlled using a weekly timer, sleep timer and economy mode. A removable grille and louvres that can be wiped down, making cleaning easy.

LG’s range includes a Slim Ducted Series and High Static Series. The High Static series covering large spaces that require up to 20 kW of power. LG’s ducts are versatile and can be installed in limited spaces such as apartment buildings due to their slim design. Some of LG’s units feature an integrated safety tray to prevent damage caused by blocked drains or accidental leakage. The range offers energy saving features such as Peak Current Technology, which limits the maximum running current.

Our team rated and Fujitsu’s cassette range rated at 3.5 out of 5, with LG’s systems receiving a string 4 out of 5. Both brands deliver efficient ducted solutions.

Multi-Systems

Fujitsu’s range includes an Inverter Multi and Multi System Series, which were rated 4 out 5 by our review team. These match to a wide range of indoor units, providing options to suit your space. Fujitsu’s units have energy saving settings, cutting down on electricity. Controls allow rooms not in use to have their units turned off. This range offers combinations to suit most residential spaces.

LG’s Multi Split range offers flexible installation. They feature an Indoor and Outdoor series with a range of combinations. Multiple indoor units can be monitored through a wired or wi-fi controller. A load control feature allows refrigerant temperature to be maintained according to outside temperature. LG’s energy saving range was rated a very string 4.5 out of 5 by our review team.

Ceiling/Floor Console Range

Designed for quiet and to fit homes lacking in wall space, Fujitsu’s Ceiling/Floor Console Range provides easy access and thereby maintenance for the users. Fujitsu’s capacity range is 2.6kW to 14.0 kW, to suit differing climates.

Fujitsu and LG have developed commercial products that can be used in environments as hospitals, schools, apartment blocks, health centres and shopping centres. Fujitsu offer a support network to help clients select the right combination of systems to meet their needs. LG offer a range of versatile commercial systems that harness innovative technology and can deliver commercial solutions covering retail spaces and those that require specific environmental control such as libraries and art galleries. Some of these commercial solutions can be expanded as needed. High capacities make these commercial units ideal for large-scale commercial spaces including universities, high rise offices and hospitals, with an eye to energy saving.

Split Systems

An energy saving setting that allows the set temperature of the indoor unit to change by just one degree intervals is a feature of Fujitsu’s commercial split system units. This limits maximum energy usage. The selection on offer mirrors their residential range, incorporating the; Classic Series, Designer Series, Lifestyle Series (Cooling only) and Lifestyle Series (Heating and Cooling). A diverse range of capacities allow these units to have a wide range of applications, for both small and larger spaces. The filters feature catechin, highly effective against bacteria growth, ensuring the air coming out of the units is healthy for those consuming it.

LG’s commercial split system ranges can be used in commercial spaces from kitchens to retail outlets. The range features reduced noise and height with ducted units at 270 mm, allowing for installation in spaces where space is at a minimum. LG offers split systems in three formats; Ceiling Mounted Cassette, Ceiling Concealed Duct and Wall Mounted Units. Two Thermistors counter possible differences between ceiling and floor air temperature, providing an even level of comfort.

Fujitsu offers an impressive range of choice in this area and has a slight advantage on price in this series. Their catechin filters are remarkable in providing both clean air and comfort. Overall, the review team rated Fujitsu's ranges at 4 out of 5. LG’s range was not as diverse, with their units being rated at 3.5 out of 5.

VRV / VRF Systems

LG’s range features units with significantly decreased weight and direct oil return. These allow for flexible installation, reduce energy losses and make the units more efficient. LG offer 4 different systems including Multi V 5, Multi V IV, Multi V S and Multi V Water IV systems. These come with a range of protections including oil management, corrosion resistant materials and defrosting control.

LG’s VRV / VRF ranges and their continuing improvements received a rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Air Stage VRF Systems

Fujitsu’s Air Stage VRF Systems offer high capacity options in ranges such as the; J-III Series, J-IIS, Series V-II and Series VR-II Series ranges. These energy efficient systems have been in development for over 35 years, utilising the latest technology to deliver and improve on products that can provide the most comfortable environment possible. This diverse range has a number of applications and was rated a 4 out of 5 by our review team.

Cassette Systems

Discrete, Fujitsu’s Cassette Range sits under the ceiling with only the grille and controls showing, allowing the units to blend in with their surroundings. Features such as a weekly timer, sleep timer and economy mode help control energy consumption without loss of comfort. These cassettes are easy to clean, with a removable grille and louvres that can be easily wiped down.

Ventilation Solution ERV LG

LG’s Ventilation Solution ERV can be interlocked with air conditioners and also controlled individually. It is allergy friendly, with an antivirus coating. These units are built to remove harmful substances, including micro dust and viruses through 3 air purifying steps.

This system is cost-efficient, saving up to 39% in energy consumption. It received a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from our reviewers for its efficiency and allergy friendliness.

AHU Solution for Multi V

LG’s Multi V – Air Handling Unit Connection system provides heating and cooling operations during all seasons. A Temperature Sensor helps maintain comfort - matching the supply air or return air via a temperature sensor.

Multi-Systems

Fujitsu’s multi systems can be connected to up to six indoor units simultaneously, with independent controls available.
